Please
send the required information (see below) if you want to
order a SuperComputing Simplified live-CD. To receive a working live-CD
you must
(1) agree to the usual software restrictions and protections and
(2)
provide at least one of your computer's MAC Addresses. Each
live-CD is
computer specific; that is, each live-CD only works on the one computer
you specify below.

Licensing relies on a
string of numbers, called the MAC address, which is unique to your
computer. Unlike almost any other commercial license system, our
licensing process is fast, and simple. There are no long, frustrating
codes to enter by hand, and there is no need for an internet connection
each time you use the liveCD. That is, nothing is sent over the
internet because the liveCD checks locally for the MAC address and
nothing is written to your hard drive. One final advantage for
you: we can replace stolen or damaged disks for a nominal fee, because
your registered computer is the only one that can use the disk.
For institutional orders, our license system can handle multiple MAC
addresses. That is, each liveCD of a multiple order can work on all the
prespecified computers. Thus, individual installations are
avoided. Likewise, our system eliminates the need to install or
maintain a license server. [Systems administrators: rapidly

Sending the order form with a MAC address will signify that you have accepted the license agreement.

The Live-CD is provided for your convenience and is experimental. Misuse can result in loss of data on a hard disk, memory stick, or any other medium that can be erased, overwritten, replaced or modified in anyway. The Live-CD is licensed for your personal use for two years. We provide no warranties or guarantees of any kind about the functionality of the Live-CD, to the extent permissible by applicable law.
NO WARRANTY
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY SET FORTH IN THIS AGREEMENT, ALL SOFTWARE AND CODE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Each Recipient is solely responsible for determining the appropriateness of using and distributing the Programs and assumes all risks associated with its exercise of rights under this Agreement, including but not limited to the risks and costs of program errors, compliance with applicable laws, damage to or loss of data, programs or equipment, and unavailability or interruption of operations.
